QUALITY SERVICES
FS’S continued success can be attributed to the high standards it sets for itself with regards quality of work and performance. FS has instilled values in its employees and created a culture where quality takes dominance over every other activity. As a result, FS is highly recognized as providing its clients with maintenance free projects and delivering high quality projects before the set deadlines. This has led to satisfied customers who choose FS as their preferred partners in the electro-mechanical sector.
FS practices “Quality in Construction” methods that ensure all its work is done right, complete and free of defects, the first time. This in-house program is its way of making sure that projects go beyond being just “good enough” and exceed the expectations of its customers. This is achieved by holding pre-installation meetings and conducting inspections during the critical path of projects including: first delivery of materials, first equipment installations, mock-ups, benchmarks for each new type of work, and closure of utility systems.
“Quality” is FS’s single-minded pursuit in the application of new technologies. The FS project team has joint construction and design backgrounds which include significant time in project inspections and quality control. The project management team meticulously prepares project specific plans and schedules. Detailed method of statements and integrating and sequencing of all activities from order to hand-over along with continuous progress monitoring, ensures an effective and productive management system.
Practicing standards include IEE, BSI, ASHRAE, ASME, ASTM, SMACNA, DW -144, ARI, NFPA, API, LPGA, DIN, UL etc.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Control is key to any FS project. From the initial project meeting and continuing through the life of the project costs, schedule, quality and safety are monitored and managed.
Costs are controlled through planning, tender, accounts and the MIS departments reporting procedures for budget compliance. Detailed monthly profit and loss statements and labor rate analysis reports are generated to ensure that costs are within budget giving us enhanced financial control of the project. This also serves as an end benefit for the clients since FS’s control on costs leads to competitive pricing of projects. Time schedule is consistently monitored and updated to ensure compliance and to seek ways to save additional project time. Likewise, the design is monitored to prevent construction delays due to sequencing of operations or equipment / material availability under prevailing market conditions.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
FS Company, maintains an excellent relationship with all its partners, which includes its bankers, suppliers, sub-contractors and various other supporting businesses.
FS has established an award-winning Accident Prevention Program that includes formal safety training, inspections, audits and a formalized system of reporting. We recognize that accident prevention is a line management responsibility. That responsibility is shared at every level of our organization, from the Chairman all the way through to the work force. FS trains its managers, supervisors and employees to identify and correct unsafe conditions and more importantly unsafe work practices.
FS’s commitment to zero accidents extends to every aspect of a project from planning to completion and from the board room to the field crew. For clients, the most tangible benefit of FS’s safety efforts is better performance on the project and a clear reduction of unanticipated costs. FS also requests that its subcontractors and partners to adopt its commitment to health and safety. The result is exceptional safety performance.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
FS is reputed for providing high quality work on time and within budget and this is possible due to our in-house capabilities and project management skills which have developed over the years. Our planning department commences its involvement with projects early at the pre-qualification stage. It is proactive in developing diverse solutions to assemble and compile a competent technical submittal tailored to suit each particular job. FS fosters engineering knowledge by training employees and adding value at every step of the project
The project management team provides the entire range of services such as initial project planning (tasks, resources, and schedule), task oversight, tracking, and reporting and change management. Construction and target programs are prepared using Primavera and each program contains a well-defined critical path, starting and finishing milestones, man power planning for each activity, equipment planning for each activity, S-Curves, material schedules and delivery schedules for long lead items
To ensure successful completion of projects within budget, MIS reports are generated on a continuous basis and crash programs are created in the case of delays due to constraints or unforeseen circumstances. MIS meetings, weekly and monthly meetings are held which results in proactive decisions being made at every step in order to manage unexpected challenges and immediate actions are taken on issues of concern.
Even after the project is complete and handed-over. FS conducts a quality evaluation of its work over the years after completion by sending its team of engineers to check the condition of projects. The feedback collected from these visits is evaluated and corrective actions are taken accordingly. FS has a team of QA/QC engineers employed on every site to ensure that electro-mechanical works are carried-out as per the company’s quality policies and methodologies.
